Vogue 8975 by Marcie Tilton has driven me nuts. I threw a failed garment in the trash for the first time in years. The dress came out very nicely but the little jacket was an absolute nightmare. I went back and pinned the pattern pieces together and found that the markings did not line up. Maybe its me, I just cant figure out what all went wrong and I hate picking out lightweight knit fabric.

I checked Pattern Review and did not find a review on this new pattern. Please let me know if any of you have tried this one. I also emailed Marcie Tilton. Sigh!

I'm glad that worked out! I learned from my mother years ago when I get into a situation like that to put my project down and walk away from it. Rest and go back to it later. Which is what you did. CONGRATULATIONS! I can't wait to see pictures!

Ok the OCD set in and i got up this morning determined not to be defeated by a Vogue pattern of average difficulty. I just finished it and tried it on and low and behold it looked ok. As a matter of fact i kept both pieces on all day as it is very cold here in the 30s. I just hate it when this kind of thing happens. Its almost enough to make you stop sewing for a while. I guess it was just a strange way to put the pieces together. Tommorrow a dress.

Hi Lillie!

I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble with that jacket. Unfortunately, like you, I'm only seeing the dress sewn by that one person...not the jacket.

I hope you get answers from Marcy Tilton. I would love to see this jacket made.
