Know When to Hold e'm, Know When to Fold 'em

I'm convinced that Kenny Rogers knew what he was talking about when he sung these lyrics to The Gambler.

I have just decided to fold'em when it comes the October Inspiration Challenge, it just didn't happen for me this time. Even, in just trying to write this post, I've had to restart three times....what does that mean...oh,well.

I'm a little disappointed that I wasn't able to participate like I wanted, but clients have to be tended to. It usually works like that with me. It's a bitter-sweet deal. Gaining more work from clients at the last minute, adds to my income, but it takes away time planned for other things. I guess I can't be upset with that. There WILL be other challenges.

There's no need of reminiscing over the garments that inspired this challenge, I will just incorporate them into my sewing to-do list.

However, I do want to sing the praises of my one and only participant, Freckle 10. Freckle 10 joined the challenge and completed her garment. And, she looks great wearing it proudly!

Freckle10 chose this jacket as her inspiration:

And, this is her jacket that she made using S2474. She made the dress she is wearing to accompany her inspiration jacket. She used B5190. Isn't she lovely!

Freckle10, THANK YOU so much for participating and sharing your beautiful suit with us!!

Although I folded, I will keep it moving. I look forward to the next challenge, and I certainly hope that you will join me!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I love this outfit. It's so stylish and would be great to wear at the Melbourne Cup races.

Very cute!  She did a GREAT job on her jacket!

Hate I missed out on the October challenge.  I have a few inspiration photos I have not had a chance to tackle that are on my to do list.  So I completely understand how you feel.

Thanks JoAnn! I sure struggled with this, but, in the end we still have results!! I'm good with that. ;)

A smart woman always knows when to walk away and you have to make that decision and get on with real paid work...we all do no matter how much we want to play in contests and challenges...clients come first. Good for you, Alethia!
