Simplicity 1804

or

Simplicity 0309 ( I have this version)

This is my latest yielding that I created today for a client. She managed to find the exact fabric on the pattern jacket.

I made version B. She was very happy with it;; just a little self conscious about the neckline being low...it's low. So, I'm gonna add a piece for coverage in the front. Plus, she saw my infinity scarf and wants one made for her out of the remaining fabric. Gotta love it!

This lady has been a client of mine for over 20  years. she will not let anyone else sew for her. She waited until I recovered to have this dress made.

Each time she comes to pick up she brings more fabric to make new dresses. Today she brought me fabric for two dresses and more alterations. I guarantee that 80% of her closet is filled with the clothes that I made for her...she never throws anything away. Gotta love customers like her.

Off to finish some alterations.

Happy Sewing!!

Thanks Heather! It wasn't hard at all working with this fabric. The pattern wasn't as difficult as you think, so it was easy to fudge a little bit, lol!

Jodie, we all have that stash of "gift" projects, or "intentional" projects...those ideas that we intend to do something with, lol! That sounds like a whole other sew-a-long, hmmm! LOl!

That is  a wonderful compliment for you.  You are way out of my league.  I barely get my own family sewn for.  Mostly gift stuff.  This year is going to be my year though.  However I have about 20 things for others to finish first! Lol, just gifts and surprises.

This is beautiful! I am really intimidated by patterned fabric.  The only thing I have sewn with a patterned fabric is an apron that had a rockabilly-punk black/white/pink cutesy skull pattern.  I figured that with the style, any mistakes I made lining it up would just be part of the whimsy.  How hard was this fabric to line up?

Faye, people are use to my schedule now, so that have to work around me. Otherwise, I tell them there's a person that "sews" on every block, LOL!!

However, most of my clients are repeat clientele or recommended, so they no how I operate ahead of time.
