I made the biggest mistake when somehow I cut the sleeves wrong. One side would have been correct, but the opposite side was cut the same, so it would have been the wrong side...I don't know how I did it, but I did.

Anyway, this sat on my "don't want to throw this away" pile until I could figure out what I wanted to do with it. I decided tonight to make a top out of it.

I chose a pattern I've used before, Vogue 8718

The only thing I need to do now is to hem it and finish the neckline. Wahlah, I wadder redo!!! #fabricsaved

I love this top. It's easy and quick ti make. I'm already thinking of a skirt for this top!

nice save.  I must admit my "boo-boo" on a customer's garment gets fixed.  But "boo-boos" on items for me end up in someone else's quilt or craft project.  I really need to resolve to do better.  You will definitely make me rethink this.  I really could use a cute top like that.

ohhhh!  I'd love to see you do a tutorial on HOW to salvage things like this!

Wow, you may even get more use out of this top than you would have with a dress! Love the print and so glad you could salvage it!
